Presenting: The Lord of the Flies

Every year, AVPA theatre and The Blurred Vision Theatre Company give the Culver City community breathtaking performances, showcasing the diverse talent that is present in our students at Culver High. Last fall, they awed us with their performance of Peter and The Starcatcher, and this year they hope to do even better with their interpretation of William Golding's “Lord of the Flies.”

The award winning novel is about a group of British school boys who find themselves stranded on an island in the middle of the ocean, and attempt to establish a way of life there. The story brings to light the most dangerous aspects of human nature and the struggle between the individual and the group.

Starring Vanessa Andrick, Ryanne Biernat, Aliah Fabros, Timothy Francuz, Trinity Fuller, Caleb Green, Scarlett Hesse, Jones Hudor, Luke Hohmann, Cailey Kettler, Shruthi Leon, An Maeyama, Kacey Oschak, Josie Peinemann, Nico Peinemann, and Jaylen Rosado, the show premieres November 14 at 7 pm in the Robert Frost Auditorium.

There are also performances on November 15 and 16 at 7 pm, and a matinee performance on November 17, at 1 pm. Tickets are on sale at the door; $15 for general admission.
