As finals approached on December 17, our campus hosted three teams of therapy dogs — Mia, Bindhi, and Keely — to help relieve some of the stress of finals.
College and Career Counselor Adrienne Madrid came up with the idea to have the therapy dogs come to our campus. “Last school year at the Aviation Careers Day at LAX, the LAX PUPS teams were there,” she said. She spoke with the organizers and found out how they not only help with unstressing passengers but also often go to schools.
“I wanted the doggies to come and petting them does help with stress and anxiety and finals week is the perfect time to help alleviate those things,” Madrid said.
This was our second year having Therapy Dogs come to campus, and hopefully, they will come again next year!
