About
The Centaurian is Culver City High School’s official student newspaper, written and published by the CCHS Journalism Club. Overseen by CCHS English teacher Penny Marino, The Centaurian has been active for over fifty years and regularly publishes articles focusing on student life at Culver City High School and local issues in the broader Culver City community.
Article topics include current events on campus and in Culver City, student and faculty features, arts and entertainment, health and wellness, sports, student clubs, and opinion pieces. Additionally, The Centaurian contributes one article per month to the Culver City Neighbors Magazine, which can be found in the magazine’s “Fresh From CCHS” section.
Our mission is to seek truth by accurately informing students, parents, and faculty about the local issues and stories impacting the Culver City High School community. Students interested in joining The Centaurian team as staff writers or staff photographers can attend our weekly meetings during lunch on Thursdays in Room 41.
