Imagine Coachella in 1999, and there is Tushar Dwivedi enjoying these fresh 90’s bands. Dwivedi, CCHS’s new addition to the Math Department, is able to say that he was at the very first Coachella and to this day he still loves 90’s music.
In August, Dwivedi got a call from his long time BFF, Bryan (Cristobal Sully) Sullivan, that Culver High was looking for a new addition to the Math Department. Since Tushar had previously worked with CCHS as an AVID adviser and he was qualified for the position, he applied for and eventually got the position.
Tushar was raised in Porterville, a small rural town in California’s central valley. When asked how life in Culver is different from Porterville said, “There is definitely more things to do in Culver City and more extracurricular activities and opportunities.”
Dwivedi also said that he has certainly appreciated all the help and advice from the veteran teachers and he also hopes to stay here in the Culver family for a long time. With all these fresh new changes in his life, like being a newlywed, moving, and getting comfortable with the “warm, welcoming staff and great students” at CCHS, he is having some trouble finding the time to decorate his classroom to his satisfaction.
Dwivedi’s classroom is undergoing a lot of rearrangements by him and his sixth period and is currently in the process of being redecorated.
Dwivedi also has an encyclopedic knowledge of Los Angeles restaurants since he was a hotel concierge in the past, so whenever you see this tall, well-dressed teacher in the halls ask him where to eat!
