Junior Class Council, also known as the Class of 2025, is one of the most successful class councils that CCHS has ever had, raising over ten thousand dollars to meet their goal of having a trip to Knott’s Berry Farm. However, this wouldn’t have been possible without the Class President, Kalia Lowitz.

When asked what leadership experience she has, Lowitz responded with, “I have been Class President for the Class of 2025 for almost our entire high school career, and have been on the Associated Student Body (ASB) for six and a half years.” In addition, she added, “I also served as President for the Superintendent Student Advisory Council (SAC), Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports, the School Site Council, and the Exchange Club of Culver City.”

This year, Lowitz said that the Junior Class Council is “currently working on the Class of 2025’s trip to Knott’s Berry Farm, scheduling more food truck fundraisers, and will be planning the Prom in the spring.” In regards to this, a goal they would like to accomplish is “to welcome even more students to Junior Class Council.”

Overall, according to Lowitz, the best part of student council is “having the ability to make people smile and have a more enjoyable time at school.”
