CCHS hosted a UCLA  blood drive on Monday Nov. 24. Students donated between 60-120 pints of blood and each pint saves up three lives. All grades participated in the blood drive except freshmen because donors have to be 16 or older. There were not any obstacles organizing the blood drive other than getting as many sign ups as possible before the deadline. Senior Breauna Dunlap, ASB coordinator, said “We like to publicize the event as much as possible such as doing classroom visits and pass out blood drive forms, and remind everybody in the announcements.”
According  to The  American Red Cross 20 percent of blood donations come from high schools and colleges. Blood donors are ordinary people-high school students, parents, grandparents, office workers and etc.
