All Things Must Come to an End

All Things Must Come to an End

After 24 years of touring and putting on shows for rock-lovers across the country, the Vans Warped Tour is going on its final run this summer. The Vans-sponsored tour, created by Kevin Lyman in 1995, has featured punk-rock and alternative artists such as Sublime, No Doubt, Social Distortion and Bad Religion to Emo bands like Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance.

The first tour began in Boise and ended in Detroit. On the tour’s website, Lyman writes that the tour helped launch careers of artists who started out playing in “hot parking lots through summer storms,” acts such as Katy Perry, The Black Eyed Peas and Kid Rock who have since  hosted the Super Bowl. The summer tour remains widely-loved and intensely popular, but Lyman announced that he believes it has had its run and has reached its end. Warped Tour 2018 will have multiple dates within California, the most popular being in Pomona, San Diego, Mountain View, and Ventura. Artists to expect this summer are Simple Plan, All Time Low, We the Kings, and many more. Though it is the final tour, fans celebrate the culture that has emerged through the music and fun, and look forward to the final Vans Warped Tour this summer.
