On Friday, Sept. 10, Culver City welcomed back its students and community to Friday night football for the first time in almost 2 years. Culver City High School students finally felt as if their high school experiences were getting back to normal, cheering on their football team in a riveting first varsity home game of the season.

A packed students section and the ASB crew brought a celebratory energy, making Culver football games the spot to be on a Friday night. As our students cheered louder throughout the game, the football team picked up momentum, coming back to defeat Pasadena after being down at the half.

From every touchdown to every turn over in our favor, the marching band, cheerleaders, and fans brought the school spirit higher than it had ever been since before the pandemic. With students wearing masks and being outside, this was a perfect way for them to come back and see each other in a low COVID-risk manner.

There is no better way to kick off the home season with an action-packed game, a roaring students section, and a win!
